GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analysis of Regional Performances since its inception from 2006 to 2017.

So far we are on point with the analysis. Four regions have been analyzed so far regarding their performance in GMB. Today we move on to the Northern and the Greater Accra Regions of Ghana. Enjoy!

• NORTHERN REGION.

Considering the geographical size, population size, educational and social infrastructures of the Northern Region, it seems the Northern Region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition. The reasons being that, the region’s representatives have failed to market the region to the expectations of Ghanaians, low turnout of supporters and votes. It is surprising that since the establishment of GMB the region has been able to pave way to the grand finally three times, however the region would have been part of the few regions to have grabbed the crown two times but due to some reasons Zeinab Abdul Mumin is considered to be the first lady from the Northern land to grab the crown in 2017 Ghana’s most beautiful. Congratulations to the likes of Ruweida, Hiba and Zeinab who took the Region to the grand finale in 2008, 2016 and 2017 respectively. This shows that when they set their eyes on the crown, they are irresistible.

√ Should we expect the North (NABIA) to deliver again? We are watching!

• GREATER ACCRA REGION.

It will not come as a surprise if the Greater Accra – region would have won the crown three times being the region to host this competition since it inception in 2006 up to now. Being the nation’s capital region, it won’t be surprise if I say the Greater Accra region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition. Their representatives fails to market the region well for Ghanaians to buy, the region fails to vote for it contestants and other causes are the reasons why the region has not been performing well as expected from them. The Greater Accra region is among the regions expected to pull down surprises due to the position of the region, their location and both socio – cultural and educational infrastructures in the region but has failed to do so. The region’s ADOLEY managed to grab the crown in 2008 and since then, once in a while the region manage to get to the finals. Well done to Akweley(2011) and Naa(2016) who took the region to the grand finale. And the 2014 representative who couldn’t make it to finale but performed very well, Achaawa.

√ Will the crown remain in Accra this year?

√ Will Naa make it happen?

Next week promise to be another exciting week of Ghana’s Most Beautiful regional analysis. The Brong – Ahafo and the Volta Regions are the next to read on. And please don’t forget to like, comment and share after reading. Thank you
