GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analyzing of Regional performances since it insertion from 2006 to 2017.

GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL
Brief Analyzing of Regional Performances since it insertion from 2006 to 2017.

The Ghana’s most beautiful been one of the prestigious pageantry competitions in the country, if not most prestigious pageant in Ghana. This competition is one of the reality programs organized by TV3 – Ghana. One reason why GMB is highly patronized by Ghanaians and traditional rulers is it taste of tradition, being the most culturally represented program ever organized in Ghana that talks about the cultural, social and traditional heritage of the people across the ten regions of Ghana. This competition is fairly represented by ten ladies each representing one of the ten regions of Ghana (her region). Having educate my readers briefly about the Ghana’s Most Beautiful let me analyze the performances of each of the ten regions of Ghana since it insertion from 2006 to 2017.

1. UPPER WEST REGION.

To start with, The Upper west region is one of the regions that has not been performing very well in the competition since it insertion but however, managed to take the crown in 2014, Baciara B. Abigail (BACI). Their inability to go to the finals can be group into two main reasons,
• Low Performance by their regional Representatives. It is obvious that some of their representatives do not put up tough challenge with the other regions in the competition, so this makes them find their way home in the early part of the competition
• Votes. Due to low votes by the region, their reps cannot make it to the finally as expected of them.
However, kudos to Chaana, Deli and Baci who competed fiercely to take the region to the finals in 2010, 2013 and 2014 respectively.

2. UPPER EAST REGION.

The Upper East Region just like the Upper West region has also not live up to the expectations expected from them in the competition but swiftly grab the crown in 2013 by Poka Anafo. Upper East inability to go to the grand finally regularly points out to the low performance by it representatives, their inability to market their region to Ghanaians and due to low votes and low turnout of events. However, in 2013 and 2014 the region made it to the finally two times continuously like the Upper West region. kudos to the likes of Asibi, Lamisi, Lamine and Poka etc who fought all the challenges to take the region to the grand finally in 2009,2010, 2013 and 2014.

3. NORTHERN REGION.

Considering the geographical size, population size, educational and social infrastructures of the Northern Region, it seems the Northern Region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition. The reasons been that, the region’s representatives have failed to market the region to the expectations of Ghanaians, low turnout of supporters and votes. Is surprising that since the establishment of GMB the region has been able to pave way to the grand finally three times, however the region would have been part of the few regions to have grab the crown two times but due to some reasons Zeinab Abdul Mumin is considered to be the first lady from the Northern land to grab the crown in 2017 Ghana’s most beautiful. Congratulations to the likes of Ruweida, Hiba and Zeinab who took the Region to the grand finally in 2008, 2016 and 2017 respectively.

4. BRONG – AHAFO REGION.

It is obvious that the Brong – Ahafo Region has never won the Ghana’s Most Beautiful crown before. Also being the only region that has never won the ultimate crown of GMB. The regions representatives fails to market the region for Ghanaians to buy in the competitions sometimes, some reps also fails to communicate well about the region, others also don’t have more knowledge about the culture, tradition and life of the people of the Brong – Ahafo Region. Some reps also try to fight their way through to the finals but unfortunately have to be drop out due to votes and other reasons, example of such reps are Ama of 2015 and Adom of 2017. All this are some of the reasons why the Region has never won the competition before. Other reasons being that some part of the region do not have access to watch TV3 in other to throw their support to their representatives in the competitions. Kudos to the likes of Abena, Konadu of 2011 and 2013 who took the region to the grand finally respectively.

5. ASHANTI REGION.

The Ashanti Region is one of the Regions that has fight it way through the Ghana’s most Beautiful competition since its establishment. They started very well in the competition and it is obvious to know that Ashanti region is among the first four regions that made it to the grand finally of the first ever edition of the GMB in 2006. And since then from 2007 going the region’s performance drop down low in the competition but in 2011 the Region again rose up from its slumber and from nowhere they grab the crown that same year from the Eastern Region’s Ama. Salomey Amoakowaa(AKUA) is the first lady to win the crown for the Ashanti Region and the only lady ever to won the crown for the region. From then on the region has been making it to the finals regularly. It is not then surprising to know that the reps of the region knows about the life, culture and tradition of the people of the region. Most of their representatives are very good in marketing the region to the likes of Ghanaians and is among the few regions expected to perform something new and surprising in their delivery due to the way the Ashanti’s are known and their language being the second most spoken language beside English language and also being the heartbeat of culture in West Africa. However we say congratulations to Adwoa Saah, 2006(host of Kumkum Bhagya), Akua(2011), Eno(2012), Akua(2013), Sika(2015), Badu(2016) who took the region to the grand finally in their respective years. And the likes of Abena(2014) and Akua(2010) who couldn’t made it to the grand finally but performed well in the competition.

6. EASTERN REGION.

The Eastern Region is one particular region that has been pulling surprises off late in the competition. Though the region was on and off in the competition but have performed well in the contest. The Region managed to grab the crown in 2010 by the Region’s AMA. After the region won the crown in 2010 they failed to deliver from 2011 to 2013 which nearly counted the region among the disappointed regions in the competition. But the might of the region was experienced again in 2014 by another Ama from Obo Kwahu in the Eastern region who fought well to take the region to the grand finally and from then on, the region has been making it to the grand finally every year. The reps of the region market the region very well to Ghanaians and this also shows that their representatives are very educated about the region they are representing. Off late, the Eastern Region is among the regions expected to pull down surprises in the competition just like the Ashanti region and looking at the Eastern region in GMB, it informs that the region is in greater contest with some peculiar regions in the contest namely the Ashanti, Central and the Volta regions of Ghana. 2015, 2016 and 2017 are clear examples of it. However, I can’t end without saying kudos to Yaa(2009), Ama(2010), Ama(2014), Afariwaa(2015), Akos(2016) and Serwaa(2017) for taking their region to the grand finally and Sarfowaa of 2013 who couldn’t make it to the finally but fought hard for the region.

7. WESTERN REGION.

The Western region just like the Northern region has also been a little disappointed to Ghanaians in the competition. Out of eleven years of GMB’s establishment, the Western region has been to the grand finally only three times which is not recommendable for Ghana’s fourth largest region and one of the richest regions in Ghana. But however, challenges facing the region is that majority of the people in the region living along the northern side of the region do not have access to TV3 if not through multi-TV and also people living in this same side of the region do not have major interest in the competition especially the Sefwi’s, Aowin-Suaman Dadieso getting to the boarder side. The people there don’t know what the GMB is about and some part of Wassa also. This has made the region to be evicted in the early stage of the competition due to low votes coming from the region. Also, some of the region’s reps fail to deliver well about the region since they don’t have more knowledge about the life in the region, their reps are mostly Nzema, Ahanta, Wassa and Takoradi people who only market the Western and the Southern side of the region leaving the Northern part of the Western region. Due to this challenges, the cocoa producing areas such as the Sefwi, Wassa, Aowin people fails to vote for the representatives of their region. However, in 2016 the region managed to grab the crown for the first time in a long time by the region’s YABA. Kudos to Afiba(2012) and Nana(2017) who managed to take the region to the grand finally. And one particular lady who couldn’t make it to the finally but fought hard for the region. Thus Araba of 2015.

8. CENTRAL REGION.

Looking at the pictures, it shows that the Central region has performed very well in the competition since its establishment. The Central region was the first region to amass the crown in 2006 by AMA. They are one of the competing regions in the Ghana’s most beautiful and pull down surprises whenever they made it to the grand finally. They are among the regions that are evicted early in the competition if they are not ready for the crown that particular year. 2013, 2014 and 2016 are clear examples of it. And if they are poised for the crown, then they are going for it, and 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2017 are evident to this. It is obvious that throughout this years, the Central region was first runner ups throughout the years, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2017. In the year 2015 Vera Oheneba Safowaa (ESI) won the crown for the region for the second time, making the Central region the only region ever to win the Ghana’s most beautiful crown two time. It is obvious that the region’s representatives are able to market the region very well to the likes of Ghanaians and they are among the regions Ghanaians expect them to perform magic in their delivery. Due to their educational facilities and good schools, their reps are fluent in the English language and are good in delivery, especially mixing up “borofolising” both the Fante and the English language. Congratulations to Ama(2006), Fanny(2009), Bambi(2010), Ama(2012), Esi(2015) and Baaba(2017) for taken the region to the grand finally.

9. VOLTA REGION.

The Volta region is one of the giants in the Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition. The region brings surprises each year in the competition and they deliver explicitly as well. In 2012 the region managed to grab the crown from Ashanti region’s Akua by Emefa Akosua Adeti. It is obvious to know that the region always get good representatives who are well diverse in their culture therefore market the region with all their might and all their strength. One particular thing that is very recommendable about the Volta region is their votes. This help the region to appear in the final stage each year and always ready to grab the crown. For instance in 2011, 2013 and 2014 the region was the first runner ups in the competition. The region has appeared in the final stages of the competition eight times, making them the region to appear in the finally more than any other region in Ghana. The success of the Volta region in the competition can be group into three main categories.
1. The region is able to get good representatives each year.
2. The region vote massively for it contestants.
3. The region provide a lot of support for it reps. Their supporters will storm the studios of TV3 to cheer their representatives up.
However, kudos to Eyram(2008), Enam(2009), Enam(2011), Emefa(2012), Bubune(2013), Ewoe(2014), Fafa(2015) etc who took the region to the grand finally in their respective years. Finally,
10. GREATER ACCRA – REGION.

It will not come as a surprise if the Greater Accra – region would have won the crown three times being the region to host this competition since it insertion in 2006 up to now. Being the nation’s capital region, it won’t be surprise if I say the Greater Accra region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition. Their representatives fails to market the region well for Ghanaians to buy, the region fails to vote for it contestants and other causes are the reasons why the region has not been performing well as expected from them. The Greater Accra region is among the regions expected to pull down surprises due to the position of the region, their location and both socio – cultural and educational infrastructures in the region but has failed to do so. The region’s ADOLEY managed to grab the crown in 2008 and since then, once in a while the region manage to get to the finals. Well done to Akweley(2011) and Naa(2016) who took the region to the grand finally. And a particular representative who couldn’t make it to finally but performed very well, Achaawa(2014).

ADVICE TO LADIES WHO WANTS TO CONTEST FOR THEIR REGIONS THIS YEAR AND THE SUBSEQUENT YEARS TO COME.
Being an active follower of Ghana’s Most Beautiful since its establishment in 2006 up to date I believe I have learnt a lot from GMB and it has been very entertaining and educative so far. Ghana’s most Beautiful is the only pageantry program in Ghana I spend time to watch every year and also predict the finals of what will happen and low and behold it always come true. Now ladies from the Northern region who are serious to grab the crown for their region should wait for a while since it may not become a reality, not forgetting that the current reigning queen Zeinab is from the North. Central regional reps who are poised for the crown just like the Northern region should also be in waiting for some time, since the Central region is the only region to grab the crown twice therefore will be difficult to grab the crown third time in no time. Same to Western ladies, don’t forget Yaba gave the crown to Zeinab. However, the region with greater chances this year is the Brong-Ahafo region, being the only region that has not won the ultimate GMB crown before. Also regions like Ashanti, Eastern, Volta, Greater Accra regions also have chances this year. Upper East and West regions can try their luck this year as well. But above all this, the most needed things in GMB is excellent delivery and votes, it can take you to the finally whether your region has won the crown two times or more. Ghana’s Most Beautiful is full of miracles, signs and wonders. Anything can happen in GMB.
University of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Journalism, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Development Studies are among the few universities that has produced a lot of representatives in the competition.

GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analysis of Regional Performances since its inception from 2006 to 2017.

We are through with six regions so far. Today we will discuss the Volta and the Brong – Ahafo Regions ahead of tonights performance. Enjoy

• BRONG – AHAFO REGION.

Kudos to the likes of Abena, Konadu of 2011 and 2013 who took the region to the grand finale respectively.

√ Will the Brong – Ahafo Region’s Ohemaa grab the crown for the first time this year? A huge suspense this year.

• VOLTA REGION.

The Volta region is one of the Mamaga (giants) in the Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition. 1. The region is able to get good representatives each year.
2. The region vote massively for it contestants.
3. The region provide a lot of support for it reps. Their supporters will storm the studios of TV3 to cheer their representatives up. But 2016 and 2017 have not being exciting years for Volta Region at all.
However, kudos to Eyram(2008), Enam(2009), Enam(2011), Emefa(2012), Bubune(2013), Ewoe(2014), Fafa(2015) etc who took the region to the grand finale in their respective years.

√ Will the Volta (Mamaga) retain their position again this year? Well!

Next week we move on to the last two regions, Ghana’s Ashanti Region and the Western Region. Thank you and don’t forget to like, comment and share after reading. Let’s promote the prestigious cultural reality program in the country.

GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analysis of Regional Performances since its inception from 2006 to 2017.

So far we are on point with the analysis. Four regions have been analyzed so far regarding their performance in GMB. Today we move on to the Northern and the Greater Accra Regions of Ghana. Enjoy!

• NORTHERN REGION.

Considering the geographical size, population size, educational and social infrastructures of the Northern Region, it seems the Northern Region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition. The reasons being that, the region’s representatives have failed to market the region to the expectations of Ghanaians, low turnout of supporters and votes. It is surprising that since the establishment of GMB the region has been able to pave way to the grand finally three times, however the region would have been part of the few regions to have grabbed the crown two times but due to some reasons Zeinab Abdul Mumin is considered to be the first lady from the Northern land to grab the crown in 2017 Ghana’s most beautiful. Congratulations to the likes of Ruweida, Hiba and Zeinab who took the Region to the grand finale in 2008, 2016 and 2017 respectively. This shows that when they set their eyes on the crown, they are irresistible.

√ Should we expect the North (NABIA) to deliver again? We are watching!

• GREATER ACCRA REGION.

It will not come as a surprise if the Greater Accra – region would have won the crown three times being the region to host this competition since it inception in 2006 up to now. Well done to Akweley(2011) and Naa(2016) who took the region to the grand finale. And the 2014 representative who couldn’t make it to finale but performed very well, Achaawa.

√ Will the crown remain in Accra this year?

√ Will Naa make it happen?

GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analysis of Regional Performances since its inception from 2006 to 2017.

As we analyzed the Eastern and the Upper West Regions last week, we will move on to analyze the Upper East and the Central Regions this week. Enjoy!

• UPPER EAST REGION.

The Upper East Region just like the Upper West region has also not lived up to the expectation in the competition but swiftly grabbed the crown in 2013 by the region’s Poka Anafo. Upper East inability to go to the grand finale regularly points out to the low performance by it representatives, their inability to market their region to Ghanaians and low votes and low turnout of events, and difficult access to Tv3 channel in the region just like the Upper West Region.

However, in 2013 and 2014 the region made it to the finals two times consecutively like the Upper West region. kudos to the likes of Asibi, Lamisi, Lamine and Poka etc who fought all the challenges to take the region to the grand finale in 2009,2010, 2013 and 2014.

√ Can the Upper East Region representative Wekia pull down surprises this year? Let’s watch.

• CENTRAL REGION.

Looking at the pictures, it shows that the Central region has performed very well in the competition since it establishment. The Central region was the first region to amass the crown in 2006 by AMA. It is obvious that the region’s representatives are able to market the region very well to the likes of Ghanaians and they are among the regions Ghanaians expect them to perform magic in their delivery. GHANA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL. Brief analysis of Regional Performances since its inception from 2006 to 2017.

The Ghana’s most beautiful pageant has been one of the prestigious pageantry competitions in the country, if not most prestigious pageant. This competition is one of the reality programs organized by TV3 – Ghana. One reason why GMB is highly patronized by Ghanaians and traditional rulers is its taste of tradition; being the most culturally represented program ever organized in Ghana that talks about the cultural, social and traditional heritage of the people across the ten regions of the country. This competition is fairly represented by ten ladies each representing one of the ten regions of Ghana (her region). Haven educated my readers briefly about the Ghana’s Most Beautiful let me analyze the performances of each of the ten regions dating back to its inception in 2006 to its recent past edition in 2017.

1. UPPER WEST REGION.

To start with, The Upper west region is one of the regions that has not been putting up their maximum best in the competition since its inception but can be factorise into many reasons. However, the Region managed to take the crown in 2014 by Baciara B. Abigail (BACI). Their inability to go to the finals can be grouped into three main reasons,
• Low Performance by their regional Representatives. It is obvious that some of their representatives do not put up tough challenge with the other regions in the competition. This makes them find their way home in the early part of the competition
• Votes. Due to low votes by the region, their representatives could not make it to the finals as expected of them. Low access to tv3 channel in the region can be another reason for their performance.
However, kudos to Chaana, Deli and Baci who competed fiercely to take the region to the finals in 2010, 2013 and 2014 respectively. They marketed the Upper West Region to the liking of GMB audience and the Ghanaian populace.

√ Can the Upper West Region surprise us this year? Well! Time will tell

• EASTERN REGION.

However, in 2013 and 2014 the region made it to the finals two times consecutively like the Upper West region. kudos to the likes of Asibi, Lamisi, Lamine and Poka etc who fought all the challenges to take the region to the grand finale in 2009,2010, 2013 and 2014.

3. NORTHERN REGION.

Considering the geographical size, population size, educational and social infrastructures of the Northern Region, it seems the Northern Region is one of the disappointed regions in the competition.

Kudos to the likes of Abena, Konadu of 2011 and 2013 who took the region to the grand finale respectively.

However we say congratulations to Adwoa Saah, 2006(host of Kumkum Bhagya), Akua(2011), Eno(2012), Akua(2013), Sika(2015), Badu(2016) who took the region to the grand finale in their respective years. And the likes of Abena(2014), Akua(2010) and Yaa (2017) who couldn’t made it to the grand finale but performed well in the competition.

However, I can’t end without saying kudos to Yaa(2009), Ama(2010), Ama(2014), Afariwaa(2015), Akos(2016) and Serwaa(2017) for taking their region to the grand finale and Sarfowaa of 2013 who couldn’t make it to the finale but delivered explicitly.

And one particular representative who couldn’t make it to the finals but fought hard for the region was Araba of 2015.

Congratulations to Ama(2006), Fanny(2009), Bambi(2010), Ama(2012), Esi(2015) and Baaba(2017) for taken the region to the grand finale.

9.VOLTA REGION.

However, kudos to Eyram(2008), Enam(2009), Enam(2011), Emefa(2012), Bubune(2013), Ewoe(2014), Fafa(2015) etc who took the region to the grand finale in their respective years. Finally.

10. GREATER ACCRA REGION.

And the 2014 representative who couldn’t make it to finale but performed very well, Achaawa.

ADVICE TO LADIES WHO WOULD LOVE TO CONTEST FOR THEIR REGIONS THIS YEAR AND THE SUBSEQUENT YEARS TO COME.

Being an active follower of Ghana’s Most Beautiful since its establishment in 2006 till date. I believe I have learnt a lot from GMB and it has been very entertaining and educative. Ghana’s most Beautiful is the only pageantry program in Ghana I spend time to watch every year and also predict the finals of what will happen and low and behold it always comes as predicted. Now ladies from the Northern region who are serious to grab the crown for their region should wait a while since it may not become a reality, not forgetting that the current reigning queen Zeinab is from the North. Central regional reps who are poised for the crown just like the Northern region should also be in wait for some time, since the Central region is the only region to grab the crown twice therefore will be difficult to grab the crown third time in no time. But above all this, the most needed requirements in GMB is excellent delivery and votes, it can take you to the finale whether your region has won the crown two times or more. Ghana’s Most Beautiful is full of miracles, signs and wonders. Anything can happen in GMB.
University of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Journalism, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Development Studies are among the few universities that has produced a lot of representatives.

CELEBRATING A GIFT OF GOD TO THE NATIONS.

Before I start let me sing my birthday song to the gift of God to the nations.

Happy birthday

We are saying we love you.

God be with you till end of time.

We are saying well done.

Joyous Birthday

Greater grace we pray

Greater heart we sing

We love you more…..hurrayyyy now back to business lol….

The world couldn’t hide their gratitude to the Lord in the week of the birthday of Pastor Emmanuel Adom Bamfi (OKATAKYIE), though it fell on 20th of this month, April.

Came into the world exactly 30 years ago and has been a blessing to the world and will continue to be a blessing to the next generations. As a proud Okatakyie from Opoku Ware School, Kumasi, through to the University of Ghana, Legon to read his first degree in Phsychology with linguistics. Currently, reading his masters degree in Industrial and organizational psychology from the same university.

The birthday was climaxed in pomp, pageantry, shouts of joy and psalms to the maker for such a victorious life. Champagnes were popped and cake was cut to celebrate the gift.

When a question was put before him about his secret in life, he said; his secret about authority is just like how David lowered himself under Saul even when his life was under a treat from his authority (Saul). He knew that Saul was anointed and chosen by God even though he is not following God’s directions hence, he refused to kill him when he had the opportunity. “You treat your authority not because of his personality, but because it is God’s office”. So shall we honour the men of God in our lives since they are the representatives of God in our lives.

Being the Chief Administrator of the world fast growing ministry, ECCLESIA. He has always been performing his duty with zeal to make sure that the vision of Ecclesia is being attained and the mission is accomplished for the world to be a happy and a heavenly place to be.

Such a gift is worth celebrating. An illustrious young man of dignity with a lucent demeanor. Happy belated birthday, Gift of God to the nations.

WORSHIP NIGHT 2018 (ECCLESIA)

It was an Ecclesiastical night of worship, praises and thanksgiving at the peak of the Easter celebration. The Political Science auditorium was parked with God’s holy people as the spirit of God manifested himself to his people through His Man of God. The night was full of worship in all manner to the lamb who was slain and who took away the sins of the world. There was no taste for sitting but to stand and allow the spirit of God move through you, taking you deeper and higher. As psalms and hymns was sung to the maker, and the spirit of God was felt moving throughout the four corners of the auditorium.

Worship Night, which is more like an independent spirited program under Word Conference, one of the main programs in Ecclesia yearly calendar. Is a night where children of God who value the life and salvation of the cross gather to give it all to Him who first gave it to us. As you see the vibrant instrumentalists and the angelic voices of the choir who raised their voice sounding like a moving water, leading the congregation to worship, praise, honour and give thanks to the most High.

This year was no exceptional as the man of God asked us to ask for higher anointing. Anointing for greater works and to live a life of fulfilment. 2018 worship night couldn’t have Climaxed successfully without praises, dancing, affirmations and shouts. I was blessed to be part of such a program but I was more blessed when I saw the man of God standing beside me. I was honoured.

TEACHING THE MESSAGE OF PURPOSE TO STUDENTS; a case of ECCLESIA MINISTRY.

I was enjoying my rest after a hot afternoon wash, a junior came to call me at the prefects dorm; I had a visitor at the school assembly hall. Well, I wasn’t expecting anyone at the time I wasn’t in my best but I headed straight to the assembly hall to meet the said visitor. Upon arrival guess what!……a very gentle and cute guy was honourably sitting; this must be the visitor I guess. Looking at how neatly dressed and gentle the visitor was looking, I was embarrassed at my appearance and shabby look. Confidently rising, he extended his hands and gave me a warm and firm handshake Giving him a more satisfactory reception as a host, I received the gesture with a lovely smile.” My name is Peter Akwasi Sarpong, he said, a 3rd year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology”, Wow! The coherence of the said University and his honourable appearance, I thought to myself. ” I have a letter for your Scripture Union (SU) President but I’m told he is not around so I want to deliver the letter to him through you”. No problem I said and took the neatly enveloped letter. We had about a minute to two time to chat and exchanged contacts. Then we bid each other goodbye after seeing him off through the door of the Great EFFISCO assembly hall. I returned to the dormitory very hungry haven missed the Saturday afternoon “kenkey and okro stew”. Thanks to my unexpected visitor.

I was popularly known as Chelsea, way back in High School because of my passionate affiliation to the Chelsea football club. I had the privilege to serve as music director for SU and the Pentecost Students Association (PENSA), and also founder and president of the Inspirational Singers of ‘Mpanimfoo’; the official praise and worship leads in Effiduase Senior High School. (EFFISCO). Coupled with my prime responsibility as a student, I served as the Library prefect as well.
Well, the visitor met the absence of Otabil the SU President because he had been in a meeting for the various SU presidents and their vice of various schools in the region.

Four days afterward, I had a call from the visitor while preparing to go to bed haven returned from prep. We had a long conversation though it was our first time. And that was how I met Pastor Peter Akwasi Sarpong my spiritual authority. Though it wasn’t permissible to be seen with a mobile phone during Master Akwasi Amoako Amoantwi (Wofa)’s reign as headmaster we were able to get in touch until I graduated from the High School in 2014. After school, he started lecturing me about ‘Vision ECCLESIA’. Though I will keep quiet and listen to him talk about ‘his Ecclesia’ I simply was not as enthused about it as he probably wanted me to. Sometimes I tell him I’m a member of the vision Ecclesia in spirit. Yet, it wasn’t even on the bottom of my top 50 agenda …..lol.

Early part of 2016 Brother Peter as I used to call him invited me for a program organised by Ecclesia known as “Leavers Purpose Summit”. This was when I decided to try this ‘ECCLESIA thing’. I was coerced by his offer to take care of all expenses concerning the programme on my behalf. Secondly, the program was going to be hosted at KNUST campus and being the first time I’ve been invited by him, I accepted.

I really experienced a total change when I encountered Ecclesia for the very first time. It was mixed feelings of joy and sadness. I was thought how to enjoy life as a purposeful man, how to fulfill my purpose on earth and how to follow my passion; not money and fame but passion. Both (money and fame) adorns a man passionately living out his purpose. After my four days encounter with Ecclesia, my mind was totally healed from the confusion that was shouting in my mind as to which way to go in my second face of life. One peculiar ministry that turns the heart of any first timer on is the music ministry; they make you bath in the pool of the kingdom life with inspirational music that gets you closer to God every second of life. Everybody was sad when the program ended because our life was expectant for more Wisdom and instructions that is sure to make any life a perfect bliss. And that was how my life and mind was transformed and set on a course to blossom. This was after I encountered Ecclesia at the Leavers Purpose Summit.

Though I’m not a product of school missions; I never get the privilege to meet them in the High school, I have benefited greatly from Ecclesia’s school mission after school. Ecclesia has covered half of Ghana’s ten regions and ready to tap to the other five virgin regions especially the Volta and Brong – Ahafo regions to preach the message of Purpose to the thousands of students in and around various second cycle institutions who perhaps might not know the need to discover Purpose at the fruitful stage of their lives and students who are confused as to where to go next after High School.

Through Ecclesia, thousands of lives have been transformed from good to better and I testify to this. Ecclesia has very young and vibrant men and women who are passionate from Senior High schools, University and alumnus who will risk all they have to make sure that the message of purpose gets to the mind of every living soul. Ecclesia has come to shake foundations and put people on the right path to fulfill their God given talents and purpose.
In Ecclesia, we believe that purpose discovery is the number one objective in every individuals life after salvation. When you discover it early, you are able to live your life well to influence the society because you have worked on your purpose since you discovered it to become a resourceful personality. Through purpose discovery we can change, build and transform the society we live in now. Such a ministry needs national and international recognition because lifes are put in a right direction.

My name is Owusu Anti Emmanuel and I’m living a purposeful life, because my life is on course. My gratitude – Vision Ecclesia.

WEAR GHANA MONTH. Our role as Ghanaians.

The textile industry was one of the booming industries employing over 25 thousand workers, but now it has lay off thousands of workers due to it low patronage. Not to talk of some famous textile industries that are in the verge of collapsing, like the Akosombo textile limited(ATL) and Juapong textile limited, not to mention our beautiful kente cloths, batakari (smock), beads and other valuable Ghanaian products that has hit the rock of dying out from the market scene due to our taste of foreign products more than the quality Ghanaian goods.

So what are we doing as a country and a people with one common goal. Let us wake up from our slumber and define our identity to the world. Are we not marketing our country if it becomes lawful that students in the various University campuses and other tertiary institutions should put on Ghana made cloths to school every Fridays. Are we not marketing Ghana if the various restaurants and eating joints in the country are charged to provide only local dishes every Friday for the Ghana man and Ghana woman to buy his own local food.

Today Ghana man and woman is sharp to mention Pizza, sharwama, fried rice, jollof as his favourite but feels reluctant to mention Fufu and abunabunu, ampesie and kontomire stew, banku, mmekwan, tuo- zaafi, tumbani, kenkey and hot pepper as his traditional meal. Hmmm how sad. Due to our taste for unhealthy foods, today we eat fast foods, we get sick fast,we are rush to the hospital fast and we die fast.

Culture they say is the way of life of a particular group of people which include their food, clothes, belief etc. So as Ghanaians do we really project our culture to the outside world? How do the outside world see us?

My little advice is that, as we have enter March, the wear Ghana month, let it be our priority to eat, drink and wear made in Ghana goods. Thus the only way that defines our identity as Ghanaians.

The Great Dr. Ephraim Amoh once said in his patriotic song that;

Oman yi s3 b3 y3 yie oo

Oman yi s3 3rennye yie oo

Omanfo bra na 3kyer3…..

And it translate that, whether this country will move forward or not it is the attitude of the people that will determine.

I call upon all of you that in this wear Ghana month, let’s patronize made in Ghana products. Let’s visit our traditional kejetia market, makola market, kotokoraba market etc and buy goods from the native Ghanaian traders and make them enjoy from their sweats and labour. Isn’t it more colorful, beautiful and traditional to be a Ghanaian this month? Let’s eat our local foods and drinks.

let’s visit our tourist sites in the country to generate more revenue to the government to build a dream a beautiful and a better Ghana. The land is beautiful, colorful, cultured, resourceful and more African. Happy 61st Independence Day to us all.

God bless Ghana, God bless Africa.
